Corten lantern
Made of 2 mm Cor-ten sheet
Size 15 x 15 x 100 cm
The lanterns were commissioned by a client who created one of the most beautiful Japanese gardens I have ever been to. It is home to decades-old Japanese maples, bamboos, ferns, and garden hydrangeas. The garden is not big, but it is magical. A narrow stone path leads through it, there is a stone bridge and a stone lantern, a traditional Japanese bamboo fountain. It was inhabited by Corten dragonflies from me and for them the client requested lanterns with the theme of the four elements in the Japanese style. I also made corten roofs for the lanterns, but unfortunately the weather did not allow me to take pictures.
I will definitely go to this garden to photograph the whole thing, so the new photos will appear.
