Mars from copper and steel

Made of 1 mm black oxidized steel

The interior is 1 mm copper, partially oxidized and partially polished

Dimensions 93 x 93 cm

We can obtain many colors on copper using appropriate treatments. This time I wanted to reflect Mars in reds and copper colors. I partially oxidized the surface to a blue-violet color, and partially polished it to a mirror finish. The copper surface is left unprotected and will slowly develop a light brown patina over time.

The frame is made of carbon steel, which I oxidized black.
