Made from brass

Shells have everything I admire in nature: delicacy, elegance, and subtly streamlined shapes. Each one is unique.

I crafted the shell from sheet brass on an English wheel, using techniques from classic automotive bodywork. I soldered the two halves together with silver. Finally, I polished and oxidized the shell, securing it with wax.
This is a unique cabinet sculpture with a very subtle shape.
