Oak leaves – mobiles sculpture
I cut the leaves by hand from 0.3 mm thick brass tape
I roll, grind and solder the leaves to a brass wire, and finally protect them with varnish
Dimensions: approx. 100 x 140 cm
I made this sculpture to order. She went to the south of France, where she hung in the window of a stone house, surrounded by oak trees. The challenge was to design the composition and balance all the elements so that the whole thing could move freely in all directions. At the slightest movement of air, everything starts dancing, and the sculpture is constantly changing.
