Brass ornamental tree
I cut the petals by hand from 0.3 mm thick brass tape
I roll, grind and solder the leaves to a brass wire, and finally protect them with varnish
The photos show two sculptures – a smaller and a larger one
The inspiration for this sculpture was the Lunaria plant. Its seeds are distributed on thin oval blades, which dry out in autumn and turn pearly in the fall. Dried sprigs of Lunaria are a popular decoration for dry compositions.
I made this tree to order for a very nice person from Krakow. It was supposed to be a decoration during the year, and during Christmas it was to serve as a Christmas tree with decorations hung on it. After last Christmas, I got a message that the tree fulfilled its function very well and delighted with its originality.
