The inspiration for creating this artwork was the old Japanese art and the often-appearing motifs of blooming cherry, cranes and sun. Japanese aesthetics, so different from the Western European canons of beauty, appreciate sophisticated simplicity: naturalness and nobility of the material. That’s why I used brass, whose brushed structure resembles Japanese silk. Japanese art emphasizes the passing of time and impermanence of things, objects with time overlap with a noble patina which gives them value. So it will be with the artwork “Cranes”, brass will slowly change.
The LED strip and power supply are hidden behind the image. It would be ideal to connect it to the wall power supply, like a wall lamp, but you can also connect a plug-in cable to the wall socket. 230V power supply needed.
