I made this moon to order – it will be suspended from the ceiling in the bedroom. Since there are a lot of dark colors in the bedroom design – walnut wood, dark gray graphite – we have chosen brass. Oxidation on brass has brownish-gray shades – while polishing it brings out the golden shades and add a glow characteristic of the moon.

This is how I see the moon in the middle of the night, only a few days away from full moon. It is huge and on a cloudless night it dominates the black sky with its warm light. The structure of the moon was cut with a laser and illuminated with warm light. I oxidized the whole thing to a brown color, then polished it and removed the oxidation, bringing out the golden shades to reproduce the surface structure – craters, seas and highlands. The moon is bent inwards, giving the impression of three-dimensionality. This image is elegant, expressive and eye-catching.

The LED strip and power supply are hidden behind the image. It would be ideal to connect it to the wall power supply, like a wall lamp, but you can also connect a plug-in cable to the wall socket. 230V power supply needed.
